| Starting with a tantrum and ending with a dirge, the album's 12 tracks
sound alternately like drag race death-music, a drunken bar room brawl
soundtrack, and the last thing heard before bailing from your board and
smacking your head on the bottom of an empty pool. It all equates to a
sort of dynamic, fitful symphony, with highs and lows, crescendos and
lapses delivered with the type of synchronous musicianship that makes
you pull the headphones closer.

|
| Up with the Sun exudes a charming demi-power pop roughness, a lighter
going after-echo of grunge for another decade and century. It's not the
Lemonheads, say, but it's not Nirvana either, aiming for something
easygoing and free-spirited rather than burdened down with shadows and
frustration.

| All Those Things I Have to Hate to Say [Single]

Records is pleased to present, "All Those Things I Have to Hate to
Say", the debut song from singer/songwriter Mark Robinson. With lyrics
vivid and smart, delivered earnestly and heartfelt, Robinson lets us
peak into something private, yet familiar to us all. Sorrowful, but
genuine and knowing, the song gets under your skin, nests in a dark
corner of your heart and stays with the songs that have already made a
home there. |
